AfterLife SMP Applications
Hello and welcome to the AfterLife SMP Applications for Season 5! Please carefully read over everything to ensure you meet the requirements and see what we as a group are all about. Don't forget to take your time in making the best application, and we wish you the best.

If you don't already know what AfterLife SMP is, we are a Java survival multiplayer server started December 21, 2014 that is a private server created by AllOutJay. We’re a wonderful group of YouTubers who enjoy playing Minecraft, creating riveting stories, making monstrous redstone contraptions, constructing beautiful builds, and much more. We began our 5th Season with the release of Minecraft's 1.19 The Wild Update on June 11, 2022, and we are excited to take this opportunity to make a fun filled content-driven world.

Application Overview Video
Requirements
  • You are at least 16 years old when applying.
  • You produce quality content on a consistent and regular basis on your YouTube channel.
  • You will produce content on AfterLife SMP alongside with other content creators consistently.
  • You will comment a reason for why you would like to join on the application video.
  • You will produce an application video to apply.
  • You will only take part in one "vanilla" SMP like experience for content creation, as in you couldn't be a part of a server like Hermitcraft or TrulyBedrock and then be a part of AfterLife. A server that offers a unique experience like the Life series, OneShot, and others would be fine. If you do get accepted and are currently already a part of a "vanilla" SMP, you would unfortunately have to make a decision to leave the other server.

Application Video
You are required to make an application video in order to apply. We expect the following in it:
  • You showcasing your survival or creative world.
  • If you consider yourself a builder, we would expect to see your builds.
  • If you consider yourself a redstoner, we would expect to see your contraptions.
  • If you just consider yourself a Minecrafter, we would expect to see what a Minecrafter is in your book.

Here are a list of questions you have the option of answering, you don't have to answer all of them:
  • Why would you like to join AfterLife SMP?
  • Want to tell us anything about yourself? (Personality, hobbies, school/work, etc)
  • What can you bring to the server, and how will you stand out compared to others?
  • Have you previously played on any SMPs, if so, what was your experience like with them?
  • Why do you think you would be a good fit with the AfterLife Members?
  • How often do you plan to upload videos from the server?
  • Do you have any goals for your channel, if so, what are they?
  • How do you think you'll spend most of your time on AfterLife?

Here are some tips for making your application video:
  • Stay true to yourself, and don't get overwhelmed by this, but also consider thinking outside of the box.
  • Use ReplayMod or your own account in F1 mode (HUD disabled) for more of a cinematic feel.
  • Record your audio separately with your answers done ahead of time so you can have more thought out responses and a smoother flowing video.
  • Recommended length for the application video is 4 - 7 minutes.
